Parichat and Andreas, that’s us.

In 2024, we bought a resort on the island of Koh Chang in Thailand – a project that has proven to be as challenging as it is rewarding and became what it is today with a lot of heart and effort. The idea of buying our own resort we have had over several years. We repeatedly asked ourselves what it would be like to create a place where people could find peace, recharge their batteries, and spend quality time together.

At the beginning of 2024, our dream came true, when we discovered a resort on Koh Chang that although aged, had great potential. Before proceeding with the purchase, we conducted a thorough analysis of the location. We examined the infrastructure, the surroundings, and the attractiveness for future guests. After buying it, the first step was the demolition and gutting of unusable building parts, as well as the installation of a pool. This revealed some surprises, such as hidden damages or unclear piping.

The central goal of the renovation was to bring it up to date energetically and ecologically. We invested in modern air conditioning systems, and a sustainable water supply, as well as new furniture, tiling, new bathrooms and new roofs. With good planning, reliable partners, and clear goals, an aging property can be transformed into a new favorite place.
